i was going to start this same meme! i have it as a draft in wordpress that i never got around to finishing. i guess someone beat me to it.

you should see Citizen Kane, it’s great. M*A*S*H too. also, for our generation, Do the Right Thing is also a must-see. (hmm, come to think of it, i can’t remember if you are a Gen X’er like me or not.)

i don’t find the Marx Brothers to be funny. i guess i don’t have a very refined funny bone.

What should really surprise you about that list is that I’ve never seen any of the Marx Brothers films. That’s something which is in need of correction.

Yup, that’s the gist of it, LOL. It is also, however, a good explanation of some of the idiotic games girls (Scarlett in particular) play trying to get a man.

I have seen bits and pieces of Citizen Kane on tv, but never from the beginning, so I didn’t count it. About all I know is that Rosebud is the sled (I’ve never read the book either, shame on me).

You have to see Rear Window. One of Hitchcock’s best.

Wow. You've seen about twice as many of those films as what's on my list Nope. I've never seen Gone with the Wind. I already know the gist of it... The House burns down, Scarlet runs around wearing the curtains, and Rhett doesn't give a damn. (His priorities are clearly messed up. Having his girlfriend parade around with nothing to wear except the curtains should have drawn his interest.) Have you really never seen Citizen Kane?
